Royal Canal Court is an off-campus development of student accommodation 3 miles (ca. 5 Km) from NUI Maynooth consisting of four blocks of apartments with six apartments in each. Catering for up to 94 students during the academic year it is in the centre of Kilcock village and overlooking the Royal Canal having direct access on to the canal bank.All apartments are accessed by bright and airy entrances, stairways and landings leading to accommodation at three levels. The top floor of each block has two, 2- or 3-bed penthouse apartments which have an excellent view of the canal and surrounding areas. The 2-bed penthouse has a single bedroom and a large twin/double with two windows (one with balcony) and an ensuite; the 3-bed penthouse has 3 singles and two bathrooms. The remainder of the apartments have two double/twin bedrooms (one with an ensuite) and one single. With this we can provide luxury accommodation for single students, couples or families. All units are fitted out to a Bord Failte three star standard with bed linen supplied as standard.
Royal Canal Court is located in the heart of Kilcock village, within 100 meters of Kilcock mainline train station. It is serviced by regular Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus and Maynooth College bus services and is just off the M4 motorway, which provides easy access to Dublin and the West. Self-Catering Summer Letting back
Outside the academic year the apartments are very suitable as low-cost self-catering accommodation for visitors and tourists to the Dublin area. It provides a relaxed atmosphere where you can take in Dublin City and surroundings at a budget price. The Royal Canal provides an excellent amenity for canoeing (Kilcock in a major centre for canoe polo), taking canal bank walks, or exploring the Royal Canal Way. Kilcock is an ideal location for golf being within easy reach of numerous golf clubs. It is an ideal base from which to visit historic sites in Meath and Kildare in almost traffic-free surroundings. We can provide accommodation to suit your needs - short-term or long-term.Royal Canal Court is about 35 minutes by car from Dublin Airport (26.8 miles; 43.1 Km), using the M1, M50, N4 and M4, and about the same distance from Dublin Port (26 miles; 41.8 Km). The site has a large car parking area, so those who wish to leave the car can travel to Dublin City centre by train or bus where the family train ticket may cost less than parking fees.
Prices start at just over €7.00 per person per night self-catering (This is ca. $9 USD per night or £4.50 GBP per night or ¥872 JPY per night) which makes it a serious contender for affordable bargain budget accommodation of the year in Ireland. For families taking a two-week holiday in Ireland it provides a base from which to explore Dublin spending the other week in Donegal, Galway, Sligo, Mayo, Clare or on the Shannon.
